Nestled between Kitzbüheler Horn, Hahnenkamm, Pengelstein and Resterhöhe, the Kitzbühel Kirchberg ski area in the Kitzbühel Alps offers hundreds of kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes, dozens of lifts and lots of rustic mountain huts with magnificent views. Skiers and snowboarders – both beginners and advanced – are spoilt for choice with plenty of slopes in an area spanning seven municipalities. In addition, all practice lifts in the Kitzbühel Kirchberg ski area are available free of charge to beginners and returners. The Kitzbühel Kirchberg ski area has been awarded the status of ‘world’s best ski resort’ multiple times. There is a special service for beginners and returners: all practice lifts in the Kitzbühel valley ski area are available free of charge. Night skiing is available at Sportberg Gaisberg in Kirchberg. The KitzSki (Kitzbühel-Kirchberg) ski area extends over a total of seven municipalities in Tyrol and Salzburg, and includes the villages and towns of Kirchberg, Aschau, Kitzbühel, Reith, Aurach, Jochberg, the Thurn Pass and Hollersbach.

SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental is impressive due to its size and slopes to suit every level of ability, and visitors are fascinated by the many unique events that take place there throughout the winter season. The area is easily reached from the Kitzbühel Kirchberg ski area, and has been awarded the status of ‘world’s best ski resort’ multiple times. The Ki-West lift takes you directly to Westendorf. The Hahnenkamm race in Kitzbühel
The legend of the Streif – experience the Hahnenkamm race live. Famous and infamous. Beloved and legendary. No other ski race in the world captures the imagination as well as the legendary Streif downhill ski run. Given that racers are faced with gradients of up to 80% at speeds of up to 140 kilometres per hour, the race’s incredible popularity is hardly a surprise, with around 50,000 spectators and millions of TV viewers worldwide. With our Hahnenkamm Specials, you can experience the race live as a VIP and enjoy the world’s most famous ski race away from the crowds in the exclusive surroundings of the Rosengarten.

The winter season is a busy time for the Kitzbühel Alps’ one thousand or so ski instructors. You can learn to ski with a professional in just three days. There are eight ski schools in Kirchberg alone. Our concierge service at the Relais & Châteaux Rosengarten can also organise a private instructor or ski guide on request.
